What it covers

Built for the damage you can't see coming.

Road hazards are the things you didn't put there and couldn't avoid. If one damages a covered tire, we take care of it.

Punctures & Nails

Screws, nails, glass, metal shards — anything that pierces the tread. Repaired to industry standard, free of charge, as many times as needed during the term.

Potholes & Impact

Calgary's spring pothole season is brutal. Sidewall bulges, bead damage and impact breaks from potholes, curbs and debris are covered.

Non-Repairable Damage

If the damage can't be safely repaired, we replace the tire and credit you based on the tread you've used — so you're never paying full price for bad luck.

How a claim works

No paperwork. No 1-800 number. Just drive in.

01

Bring the tire to us

Drive in to either Prince Tires location, or bring the tire on its own. Walk-ins welcome — no appointment required for a claim.

02

We inspect it on the spot

A technician assesses the damage. We look up your purchase on file — no receipt or certificate needed.

03

Repaired or replaced

Repairable? It's fixed free. Not repairable? Your replacement credit is applied and you're back on the road, usually same day.

Replacement credit

Fair value, based on the tread you've used.

When a tire can't be repaired, your credit toward a replacement is prorated by remaining tread depth. Lots of tread left means a big credit. It's the same simple math every time — no fine print.

Questions

Things people ask us.

How much does it cost?

It's 10% of the tire's price, per tire, with a $12 minimum and a $50 cap. On a $200 tire that's $20. Add it when you book online, or call (403) 452-4283.

How long does the coverage last?

12 months from the date of purchase, or until the tire wears to 2/32" (the wear bars), whichever comes first.

Can I add it to tires I already own?

Coverage must be added at the time of purchase and installation at Prince Tires. It can't be added to used tires or tires bought elsewhere.

Does it transfer if I sell the vehicle?

Coverage stays with the tires and the original purchase on file. If the new owner brings the tires to us, we'll honour the remaining term.

Do I need to keep a certificate or receipt?

No. Every covered purchase is logged in our system. Just give us your name or phone number at the counter.

Is it valid at both locations?

Yes — claims are honoured at 111 42 Ave SW and 3928 Edmonton Trail NE. Note that 42 Ave SW carries our largest inventory, so replacement tires are most likely to be in stock there.

What if the exact tire is no longer available?

We'll apply your credit toward a comparable tire of equal or greater value. You only pay the difference, if any.
