Should I buy winter tires on their own rims?

If you'll run winter tires for three or more seasons, dedicated rims usually pay for themselves. Remounting on one set of wheels costs $25 per tire ($100 a set) every changeover and adds wear to the tire beads, while a swap-over of tires already on rims is $60 flat. Steel winter rims also let you downsize to a cheaper tire size in many fitments.

How fast can you install winter tires after I buy them?
