A seasonal changeover is the straightforward swap: your winter and summer tires each live on their own set of rims, and we move the correct set onto your vehicle and torque every wheel to spec. It's a flat rate by vehicle — $60 for most cars, SUVs, vans and EVs, $80 for trucks, and $90 for dual-rear-wheel trucks. Your tires do need to be mounted on rims already; if they're loose, book a tire installation instead.

When should I switch to winter tires in Calgary?

What's the difference between a changeover and tire installation?

A changeover assumes your winter and summer tires each sit on their own set of rims — we just swap which set is on the vehicle. Tire installation is for loose tires that aren't on rims yet: we mount them, balance them, and set up the wheels from scratch. How long does a seasonal tire swap take?

Do you store my off-season tires?

No — Prince Tires doesn't offer tire storage, so your off-season set goes home with you. Store them somewhere cool, dry and out of direct sunlight — a garage corner or basement works well. If they're on rims, stack them flat or hang them; loose tires are best kept standing upright.

Can you swap tires I bought somewhere else?

Yes. It doesn't matter where your tires or rims came from — another shop, a dealership, online, or a used set. As long as your seasonal tires are mounted on rims that fit your vehicle, we'll change them over at the same flat rate, with no outside-purchase surcharge.
